Retrospective
Continuation of trying to recreate FZD School of Design by scouring facebook for example homework posted by former students. The assignments below represent digital painting (renamed “forms and materials” at some point) week 7–8. I’ll continue this for one more week, but then I start 2 classes with Brainstorm school, so that homework will take all my time for 10 weeks. There is some overlap though. I’m taking foundation sketching, which corresponds to “design sketching” at FZD, and Visual Communications with Charles Lin, who is a former FZD student and teacher.

Drawings and Critiques
Humans and machines with joints from basic forms.
Finally done with grayscale and moving on to color. Finally done rendering boxes too.
Material rendering.
I like the top row, but I had a really hard time getting the armor to look like anything.
