Retrospective
Daylight savings time through me off today. I was demotivated and had to take a long nap. Hopefully I’m recovered tomorrow.
I’m still trying to decide which classes to take next semester. I know I’m taking AD2, but that’s it. I’m looking at Syn Studio, CDA, CGMA, and Focal Point school. Right now I’m leaning towards taking WB2 at Brainstorm again but with a different teacher.

Robin Hood: Sherwood City project.
I have another week to finalize these and then put them into the keyframe that I did a few weeks ago. I just need to add some small callout details. I’m not sure if the color scheme works, or if it would be better in grayscale.

I’m finally done with this piece. The instructor finally ran out of suggestions. There are still things I should change though. For example, the background mountains on the right could be much better. Next week I’ll be moving on to an interior shot in this same world. I’m thinking of a giant, two-story Buddha statue inside a hall with a balcony.

Rough color environments.
I’ve been doing black and white paintings for so long that I forgot color existed. Color is strange because in some ways it drastically changes a piece but in other ways it doesn’t since values do the heavy lifting.
Final project: Mountainside Alchemist’s Market.
For the rest of the semester I’ll be working on this project. I plan to have an alchemy market in structures built on the side of mountains. The Brainstorm School discord server is having a challenge for the month of March with the prompt “azure market.” I plan to use this project as my entry to the contest.
