Retrospective
The spring semester is half over. I don’t have much to say this week. It’s been business as usual.
Log
Work
ENT 1
Designs for my “Robin Hood: Sherwood City” project.
I had a lot of trouble coming up with different variations for these. We’re supposed to be designing callouts from last week’s keyframe, so I felt locked into the layout and orientation of the keyframe. We were supposed to do 10–15 variations for each object, but I draw too slow. I feel like I waste too much time staring at the screen not knowing what to draw. I need to find a solution for that problem.
WB: SDVGD
Tibetan monastery.
I feel better about the modeling than last week, although the instructor said I should still do a simpler building. For next week I’ll apply the feedback for the composition and lighting, and start on a simpler structure. Since I had to start from scratch, I through the composition and lighting together at the last minute.
WB 2
This is one of the first opportunities I’ve had to take a painting to a more finished level. The lecture this week was on rendering, and was really helpful because I often don’t know what to do when it comes to adding details.
