Retrospective

This week it was back to basic drawing fundamentals. Specifically, I worked on proportional drawing. It feels like starting over at the beginning again, but every time I start over, I learn 1) how to improve the technique since the last time I practiced it, and 2) how much I’ve improved because I feel more confident than the last time I tried proportional drawing from life. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: no artist is ever above practicing the fundamentals.
